UNAIR NEWS“ Religious Arts Club 51¶¯Âþ has made another achievements and added their trophies. The delegation won first place in East Java Banjari Festival held at SMA 1 Gresik on Minggu, March 25.
Even it is newly established Student Activity Unit (UKM), it continues to make achievements in less than two years. It has won the first place twice in a row in the East Java Banjari Festival Banjari at the Islamic University of Surabaya and at SDN Pakis Surabaya in 2017.
Next, in 2016, they successfully won the 2nd place of East Java Banjari Festival in Universitas Brawijaya.
Asked about the readiness before the festival, Rizal, one of the team’s representatives, stated that there was no special preparation. He said that the preparation was only a regular practice on Monday and Friday evenings after the Diba™ Majelis.
“This is the second time we participated in the same banjari festival. The preparation is not special, regular exercise twice a week was enough, “added the student of Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG).
Rizal explained, in the event, there is only one category contested, sholawat al-banjari. UNAIR sends a team of nine members from various departments.
Some of them were Ahmad Rizal, M. Faiz Hayat, M. Muharrom, M. Fikri, Irvan Mahbubby, Chafid, M. Fakhrur Rozi, and Fash Fahisc. The two songs they performed in the festival, Khairul Barriyah and Ya Rosulullah Salamun ‘alaik, managed to lead them to be first winner from 35 participants from all over East Java.
“With our participation in this event, we learned how to train discipline in the competition. We also hope this UKM UNAIR can continue istiqomah in developing talent and soul of art. In this case is the art of religion to gain reputation for 51¶¯Âþ, “he explained. (*)
