UNAIR State Administration Department Establishes Partnership with UiTM Malaysia

UNAIR NEWS– The Department of State Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences in late April, attended Malaysia Indonesia Seminar on Public Administration 2018. Weka Nastiti, one of the six delegates selected from UNAIR State Administration Bachelor檚 program with 6 other delegates from Public Policy Master檚 program made the return visit.

“This activity is held as a return visit and collaboration of the administration journal development in FSPPP, as well as the signing session for partnership between the department of state administration and FSPPP,” said Weka.

The Dean of FISIP, Dr.Falih Suaedi., Drs., M.So., Sulikah Asmorowati, S.Sos., M. DevSt.PhD as the Head of State Administration Department UNAIR, Dr.Erna Setjaningrum, S.IP., M.Si as the secretary of the Department of Administration FISIP UNAIR, Dr.Antun Mardiyanta, Drs., MA as Head of Department of Public Policy Master檚 program, and Roestoto Hartojo Putro, Drs., SU. were among the delegation of UNAIR.

The student who joined the Reasoning Student Activity Unit (UKM) explained that the signing ofMemorandum of Understanding(MoU) was done by State Administration Department, with Faculty of Administration Science and Police Studies (FSPPP), Universiti Teknologi Mara Cawangan (UiTM) Negeri Sembilan, Campus Seremban, Malaysia. There was a series of activities following the event, a conference,a City Tour, andGuest Lectureor a seminar conducted.

The seminarentitled “Enhancing Public and Corporate Administration for Sustainable Development Goals”was conducted from the focus of global development of UN member countries, 17 points of Sustainable Development Goals.

“The development foci have been launched since 2015 to maximize the implementation of the SDGs themselves,” said Weka.

Various topics were presented from the papers. Each paper discusses the study of state administration from different fields and locations.Indonesia with Malaysia also collaborate to improve the role of government and private sector.

“The collaboration is a continuous form of partnership between the two. In the future, journal collaboration can be conducted and there will be Short Exchange, Summer Programe Research Collaboration, and Staff exchange through the collaboration as well,” Weka added.
