UNAIR NEWS – Delegation from 51动漫 (UNAIR) succeeded in bringing home as 3rd Runner Up winner in 2019 National Tax Debate Competition held by PKN STAN on Thursday, April 25. The team were Maulana Robbi Felani, Sovia Devi Rahmawaty, and Yaumil Izzati from D3 Tax Study Program Faculty of Vocational Studies (FV) batch 2016.
“We did not expect to bring this trophy, we have to compete with other five teams on semifinals (top 10, ed).” said Sovia.
This year, National Tax Debate Competition (KDPN) were attended by 99 teams from 47 universities throughout Indonesia. It’s fairly tight, UNAIR team remains optimistic during the competition.
Around 99 registered teams, all of them have to take part in the preliminary round to be the top 30 best teams. From nine UNAIR delegation teams, two of them entered the top 30 after the preliminary round.
Precisely on April 22, the 30 best teams were tested individually and in groups. From there, ten best teams were selected for semifinals round. Among other things, a team from Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Khatolik Widya Mandala (UKWM), Universitas Sriwijaya, Universitas Trisakti, and two UNAIR delegation teams.
After going through the selection phase again, there were five best teams took a part in final round on April 25. They were a delegation from UNAIR, University of Indonesia (UI), and Universitas Widya Mandala Catholic (UKWM) Surabaya.
In the final round, UNAIR teams won as 3rd runner up winner. Robbi revealed the key to success was always trying and maintaining a good work team.
“We never give up, we also maintain communication between team members and do not forget to pray.” said Robbi.
In addition, the competition is National Taxation Fair series event organized by PKN STAN. (*)
