UNAIR NEWS Faculty of Vocational Studies 51动漫 received delegation of Universitas Trisakti, Jakarta on Tuesday, May 30. The delegation was received directly by the Dean of Faculty of Vocational Studies 51动漫 Prof. Dr. Widi Hidayat, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA with officials of the faculty.
The visit was made to seek information on vocational studies. Universitas Trisakti has not had Faculty of Vocational Studies. Taxation Accounting Diploma III program of Universitas Trisakti as of now is still managed by Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).
The delegates of Universitas Trisakti were Abubakar Arif, SE., MM., R. Rosiyana Dewi, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA led by Vice Dean II Trisakti Dr. Murtanto, Ak., M.Si., CA.
淲e had wanted to visit UNAIR since the National Workshop of Learning Achievement Finalization for Similar programs from April 21-22. But because of internal agenda of university, we called off our plan to come to Surabaya, said Murtanto.
In the occasion, Murtanto shared their successful practice of profession certification held in Universitas Trisakti.
淯niversitas Trisakti has been trusted to be the place of Profession Certification Competence Exam, said Murtanto.
Meanwhile, the Head of Business Department Faculty of Vocational Studies UNAIR Dr. Sri Endah Nurhidayati, S.Sos., M.Si. said that as of now Faculty of Vocational Studies UNAIR has made an effort to include competence certification with the learning process. So the graduates are expected to have the certificate of competence.
Endah added that assessor availability to support certification process in UNAIR is limited. Furthermore, the high cost of certification is also a challenge in itself.
From the result, both institutions agreed that the graduates should get competence certification so they can get professional position better than the others who do not have the certificates. The certification is important for Faculty of Vocational Studies graduates. (*)
