UNAIR NEWS –Miranti Puspitasari, M.Si should be proud of herself. Her hard work to learn chemistry in master program of Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) 51动漫 (UNAIR) made her the best graduate of September 2016 graduation with GPA 3.95.
With her idealistic wish, to improve prosperity through research, Miranti realizes even more the importance of chemistry to handle environmental destruction because of industrials. She was even more determined to conduct research in chemistry.
淎 success of an individual is not only measured from wealth, but also on how far their dedication towards others prosperity, she said to UNAIR NEWS.
Biochemistry she studied in FST UNAIR was a bit different from her bachelor study, Anorganic Chemistry. But she showed an excellent result on research for her thesis titled 滸ene Detection and Catabolic Enzyme Activity Test on Actinobacillussp. P3(7) towards hydrocarbon substrate. The research studied about the ability of oclastic hydrocarbon in degrading hydrocarbon compounds.
The research with the bacteria isolates was quite difficult at first. She needed to repeat the method to rejuvenate the bacteria to adapt the room temperature, it was due to extreme temperature of Surabaya. The bacteria could not grow and live well but with her determination, she could get through it.
Her discipline on time management, spirit, responsibility and sincerity were the keys to success. But above all those, praying and asking for God blessings is the most important. With her parents and friends suppor, Miranti wanted to give the best. She was also active in non academic activities.
淭he main job for students is studying, but it will be better if they also spare some times to follow other campus useful activities as in organizations, volunteering or religious one. We can learn to communicate well when we interact with wider community, said Miranti. (*)
