UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 has targeted increasing number of journal publications indexed by Scopus in 2017. It is a form of serious efforts made by 51动漫 to become a World Class University.
It was stated by Vice Rector III 51动漫 Prof. Ir. Moch. Amin Alamsjah, M.Si., Ph.D in a roadshow of Third Division, in Faculty of Medicine (FK) hall on Monday, January 23. The roadshow was held to promote Third Division Achievement program to staff, lecturers, professors and head lectors which will be realized in 2017.
From the evaluation, Third division performance in 2016 was good and in 2017, one of the targets to be achieved by Third Division is increasing journal publication which is indexed by Scopus.
Amin said that UNAIR has produced a lot of research products but not many of those researches published internationally and Scopus indexed.
淲hat we know, FK UNAIR excels in stem cells technology, but are the researches about stem cells have been Scopus indexed? he said.
Regarding the matter, Amin encouraged the professors and head lectors to work harder to publish their researches in Scopus indexed journals.
淧rofessors are obliged to publish one international journal every year. While, head lectors are obliged to publish one international journal in two years, he said.
Amin believes that FK UNAIR is able to contribute with more journal publications as the second oldest faculty of medicine in Indonesia has 29 programs. For publication process, the researchers are supported by the Institute of Research and Innovation (LPI).
淚n the future, the results of any researches will be pushed to be published. Hopefully, the scientific assets from the lecturers, professors and students can be improved. Research is important but its external impacts are also important, he said.
Referring to Kemenristekdikti檚 regulation in 2017, UNAIR will conduct researches based on output. Head of LPI Prof. Drs. Hery Purnobasuki, M.Si., Ph.D, stated that the new researchers will get funding after their report their research result.
淪o there are no more models of reports which list the cost of research mice, transportation, and many others. In the future, the reports will be more packed, the funding is given for which research, he explained.
To support this year檚 publication performance, the head of Scientific Publication and Journal Development Center (PPJPI) Dr. Prihartini Widiyanti, drg., M.Kes, stated that her unit is helping to record publications in international journals indexed by Scopus. Furthermore, PPJPI also provide assistance for any faculties which will hold international seminars to produce results with potential Scopus indexed outputs.
In the same occasion, the Secretary of International Office and Partnership (IOP) Margaretha, S.Psi., G.Dip. Psych., M.Sc stated that beside improving research journal publications, the most important thing is to improve curriculum to be at least equal with the curriculum of universities abroad.
Planning and Development Board (BPP) 51动漫 has planned internationalization programs which will be improved this year such as increasing the number of programs accredited internationally, the number of double degree programs and joint researches.
