UNAIR NEWS “ Eleven PKM teams of 51¶¯Âþ have tried to show their hardwork and their best in the 30th National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) event at UMI Campus Makassar, August 23-26, 2017.
As a result, UNAIR’s Student Creativity Program (PKM) teams managed to maintain its ranking position in the top four, with a total of 2 gold medals, 5 silver, 1 bronze (2-5-1).30th PIMNAS was followed by 420 teams (title) PKM from 89 universities throughout Indonesia.
In the closing ceremony of PIMNAS conducted by Director of Student Affairs Kemenristekdikti Prof.Dr.Didin Wahidin, Saturday, August 26, UB managed to maintain its title as they also won at last year’s PIMNAS IPB Bogor.In thecategory of presentations: UB won five gold medals, one silver, and four bronze (5-1-4).UGM won the 3-2-2 medal composition, ITS 3-2-2.While UNAIR won 2-3-0.IPB took the fifth with 1-4-2.
±õ²ÔÌýthe poster category, UB won 3-3-3, UGM 5-4-6, ITS 0-1-1, UNAIR 0-2-1, and IPB grabbed 3-2-1.The value of the poster in PIMNAS is only 25% compared to the presentation value.However, each received a medal: UB won 8 gold 4 silver and 7 bronze (8-4-7).UGM collected 8-6-8, ITS with 3-3-1, UNAIR won 2-5-1, while IPB in the fifth place with 4-6-3.
Director of Student Affairs Dr.M. Hadi Shubhan, SH., MH., CN, among the contingent of PKM UNAIR congratulating the lecturers and supervisors, said that he was grateful to finish at the Top Four big four as last year.Whatever the outcome, it was their best effort.Therefore Pak Hadi asked this positive “virus” of PIMNAS can be transmitted and distributed to their juniors and / or students who still have the opportunity to innovate in PKM next year.
From the student affairs supervisory team, Dr.Bambang Purwanto, dr., MS., asked the students of UNAIR 30th PIMNAS participants in Makassar to remain grateful for God’s favor and can learn lessons from this activity.

The hardwork of PIMNAS students was also appreciated by the Director of Student Affairs of DIKTI Prof.Dr.Didin Wahidin.This is because the whole process of this competition at least takes one year.It shows hard work and tenacity.
“Indeed, in a competition there must be winners and some defeated teams.But at PIMNAS, no one loses, all will be winners, especially for all of us who take wisdom from these student innovations for the nation’s progress, “he said in remarks before closing the 30th PIMNAS official.
He said that PIMNAS is a very valuable lesson.Science they work on develop from the collaboration and exposure among participating students, characters as educated people are also formed, and there was a sense of pride in collaboration or cooperation with students all over Indonesia.
