UNAIR NEWS – The40th Anniversary of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) 51动漫 is not much different from previous years. It still heldSoetandyo Award and Scholarship.The event was held in Soetandyo Hall in Building C of FISIP UNAIR campus on Thursday, December 7.
The event inspired by the late great legacy of Prof. Dr.Soetandyo Wignjosoebroto was opened directly by the Dean of FISIP UNAIR Dr.Falih Suaedi, M.Si.In his speech, Falih said that Soetandyo Award and Scholarship is a realization of concern for education and poverty.
“This event is a realization of concern for the world of education and poverty.Hopefully next year we can make various improvements so this important event can run well and the spirit of Prof.Soetandyo can always be remembered, “said Falih.
There are fifteen participants, both undergraduate and master檚 program students from all over Indonesia who were qualified and got scholarship.Some of them were Faris Widyatmoko (S2 Public Policy UNAIR), M. Yasin Raya (S2 Law Science UNHAS), Sifa Aulia (S1 Administration Science UI), Zahirna Arum Nabila (S1 Communication Science UNAIR), Zuhairiyah (S1 Sociology Universitas Trunojoyo), and M. Asharudin Firdaus (S1 of Social Health UIN Sunan Kalijaga).
One of the scholarship recipients, M. Asharudin Firdaus, said that his thesis started from his hobby.There was no intention of choosing the topic in order to follow the Soetandyo Award.
“During research, I do not know if there is Soetandyo Award event. I was researching the theater performing arts for the blind.I chose this topic due to my hobby.So I highlighted the functionality of such art for the wider community.I am grateful that my topic can take me here, “said the student from Yogyakarta.
Besides 15 students winning the scholarships, one person getsan awardwas Esti Susanti Hudiono, M.Si., a women activist andgeneral secretary ofthe Indonesian AIDS community.
” I will fight for the peace of Indonesia for the rest of my life.I am proud to be a member of FISIP .In fact, my life has been dedicated to God, but this award makes me feel home again.This award is an affirmation to me and I have to show that I am worthy for it, ” said Esti.
