UNAIR NEWS Competitions held by internal campus organization are one of the favored icons to do publication to senior high school students of the same degree. One competition is Dentistry Intellectual Challenge(Dentine) which is held by Student Executive Board at the Faculty of Dental Medicine .
Dentine Competition 2017 successfully captured 8,000 participants. These participants worked in a team and came from 22 districts or regions across Indonesia such as Surabaya, Mojokerto, Semarang, Bandung, Denpasar, to Mataram.
The elimination round for Dentine participants was held on Sunday (12/2). In this elimination round the participants had to do questions on the subject of mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, and basic dentistry. Besides the five preferred materials, there were also non-academic competitions like essay composing, basketball, and futsal.
From the elimination round, two participants with the highest score in each district will be chosen. They will have the opportunity to go to semifinal, quarterfinal, and final round. In the final round, the participants will fight for the Dentine Trophy on Sunday (19/2).
淲e will invite as many as 44 participants from 22 districts plus 10 national champions to FKG UNAIR. They will compete again to be the winners, said Dewa, the committee chairman of Dentine 2017.
Since 2010, Dentine has successfully attracted more than 15,000 participants from 3,400 teams. According to Dewa, Dentine Competition aims to catch the interest of regional students who wish to be a dentist.
