UNAIR NEWS– Just and Civilized Indonesia was the big theme of the 63rd Anniversary of 51动漫 on 10 November.Although the D-day is still a month away, lively excitement is in the air.One of them was in Healthy and Fun Sunday held on Sunday, October 22.
Regarding the same theme as the previous year, Prof.Nasih as the Rector of UNAIR said that it is one of the proofs that UNAIR is expected to be able to contribute towards realizing a just and civilized Indonesia.
“At least for the next five years our theme will focus on the same thing.This is indeed a proof that the function of the university also leads to it, “he explained.
Various Contests
Regarding the various contests being held, especially the Pigeon Race, Prof. Nasih said that this is a form of effort to preserve the various traditional game.In his opinion, this event can be one effort to maintain the existing tradition.
“Regarding the pigeon race we try many things traditional and we must preserve them so they will not be extinct,” said Prof. Nasih.
In agreement with Prof. Nasih, Drs.Koko Srimulyo M.Si., as the Secretary of the University said that the various contests in Healthy and Fun Sunday was a method to further unify the academic community with local citizens.
“This is a mean for UNAIR to get closer to the community.I hope that this kind of events can go on, “explained Koko.
Interviewed during Healthy and Fun Sunday, Dr.Nurul Hartini as the head of the committee said that the reason to hold various activities into one big event was to accentuate the festivity of dies natalis.Furthermore, she believed that through these activities organized as one event will promote unity more.
“The activities we combined hopefully can strengthen friendship of academicians with the local community.Hopefully they will feel a sense of belonging for UNAIR, “said Nurul.
In the end, Nurul also admitted that the success of the events of calisthenics, fish grill, pigeon race, and various activities was the result of collaborative works.
“The key to work on diverse events is in coordination.So today success was everyone檚 success, ” she said.
