UNAIR NEWS –PDD 51动漫 at Banyuwangi was chosen as one of the locations for Academic Draft Concept Trial and Draft bill(RUU) Alteration of Law number 31 Year 2004 about Fisheries by Expert Team from the People檚 Representative Council (DPR) RI, Wednesday (15/3).
According to Laksmi Hamdani, one of the DPR RI Expert Team, her people has given the visit plan about two weeks in advance. The activity is a continuation of similar visits to Sulawesi Tenggara, Bangka Belitung, Riau, dan Ambon.
It aims to tap opinion and ideas about academic draft concept trial and draft bill (RUU) alteration of law number 31 Year 2004 about Fisheries. 51动漫 and Universitas 17 Agustus (Untag) Banyuwangi, which have fisheries and marine programs, were hoped to supply ideas in this occasion.
漌e chose Banyuwangi Regency as one of our destination to collect ideas after we saw how potential this place is in terms of fisheries and marine in East Java, she added.

Regarding location and participants of the judicial review, her side chose PDD 51动漫 in Banyuwangi because there had been significant contribution from students and civitas academic, both from PDD UNAIR in Banyuwangi as well as Untag Banyuwangi in the field of fisheries and marine.
Meanwhile Prof. Dr. Suryanto, M.Si., S.Psi., PDDcoordinator, explained that the visit was very appropriate because basically UNAIR as an academic body must take part in the continuity of fisheries and marine in Indonesia.
滱cademics shouldn檛 only be an ivory tower with tons of theories, but they must become a lighthouse which radiates benefits for people through their knowledge, add the Faculty of Psychology UNAIR professor.
The Head of Fisheries and Marine PDD UNAIR Banyuwangi, Prayogo, S.Pi., M.Pi., added that the activity was a kind of pubic hearingheld by the Expert Team of DPR RI in planning a new draft bill. Academics were asked for their ideas in terms of local and inter-local fisheries management, of how to draft billwhich meet people檚 need, a law which would prosper them, and would dig out and optimize local potentials.
The activity involved PDD Coordinator in Banyuwangi, the Dean and Vice-dean I Faculty of Fisheries and Marine UNAIR, Secretary of PDD Coordinator, Section Head of Student Affairs, Section Head of Resource Development, Heads of Programs (KPS) PDD UNAIR in Banyuwangi, representatives of lecturers, two lecturer representatives from Untag Banyuwangi, and four Expert Teams from DPR-RI. There were at least 20 people including secretary and moderator. (*)
