UNAIR NEWSLooking for new experience beyond lecture at their campus, students of Accounting PDD 51 Banyuwangi have been working as apprentices at Monetary Management Bureau and Regional Asset (BPK AD) Kabupaten Banyuwangi, Monday (21/3).
The independent fieldwork aimed to dig deeper about responsibilities and performance at BPK AD in Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Some accounting students of in Banyuwangi take part in the apprentice program. A teachers aide accompanies them and they are supervised by Head of Accounting of BPK AD Kabupaten Banyuwangi.
Samsudin, SE., M.Si., Head of BPK AD Kabupaten Banyuwangi, stated that the students came to his office to learn, he and his team provided facilities. They needed to sharpen their experience, to broaden knowledge. So that when the time comes, they are ready to continue our fight, said Samsudin.
One of accountings main duties at BPK AD Banyuwangi is to carry out regional monetary accounting. In addition, accounting has to identify, measure, record the execution of Regional Revenues and Expenditures Budget (APBD)and report to regional government. This report acts as basic information for drafting responsibility report of APBDimplementation.
Firman Panggayu, one of the apprentice students at BPK AD Banyuwangi,says that experience is a very valuable knowledge. Thats why he and his friends wont miss the opportunity. The knowledge will serve as provisions before they enter the real world of work. Twelve (12)students from Banyuwangi accounting department join the apprentice program.
Another participant, Triyan Rediyanto, underscores the opinion.To unair.newsRedi adds that he gets a lot of knowledge in class.Academically they focus on governmental accounting.Yet in this apprentice program he gathers a lot of new knowledge about accounting in a village and Regional Work Force (SKPD).
In villages, we have seen responsibility report of budget absorption, especially Extra Difference in Budget Usage [Selisih Lebih Penggunaan Anggaran (SLPA)] in 2016. At SKPD students are invited to evaluate performance by looking at realization of activities in a year. In terms of work we are invited to learn time management and to do our job well, Rediyanto said. (*)
