UNAIR NEWS Every one of us have our own stories about how we manage to obtain our dreams. Imamul Huda Al Siddiq, M.Sosio., is one of them. The best Master Program graduate from Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP) 51 told us his struggle to become a college student. Armed only with his rashness, the Surabaya, 25 December 1990 born man succeeded in completing his study at UNAIR.
I really want to continue my study to next level, so I enlist myself rashly to the master program. I didnt have enough money then, but still I enlisted myself. When payment time was due, there were times I had money, and other time I didnt. Well, that was life. For me, the important thing is keep working and legally, said the graduate with GPA 3.75.
There was only one choice: study and work at the same time. At the end of semester III, the man whose hobby is listening to music from the Middle East, met his soul mate, a huge blessing as well as a challenge for him.
When you see it as a hardship, then hard it becomes. But when you see it as something thats not too serious, then it becomes all right. Whenever things turned burdensome and hopeless, I reminded myself that Allah reacts in accordance with a persons mind. So, in the mist of obstacles, I have to maintain my positive thinking, explained Siddiq.
He continued his story on how to become the best graduate. At the start of his study, he met a friend from the same generation but different program. While chatting, they vowed to be the best graduate when finishing their respective studies.
We both agreed to compete to be the best graduate. When I said deal, God knows why I felt so convinced.Subhanallahthat how powerful faith is. It all started from our sincerest dreams. We both became best graduates, although he did it one semester earlier than me, he recollected and finished his story. (*)
