UNAIR NEWS – Toto Sujarwo, S. Kep works in an installation of diagnostic cardiovascular and supervisor intervention, Primasatya Husada Citra Hospital (RS PHC) Surabaya. Despite his activity in organizations and his work, he was able to be the best bachelor graduate of Faculty of Nursing UNAIR, in March 2017 graduation.
Toto graduated with 3.72 GPA. Besides working as the head of PPNI (Persatuan perawat Nasional Republik Indonesia/ Indonesia Nurses Association) commissariat, he is also the head of Public relation division of general and East Java region IPCI (Ikatan perawat Cathlab Indonesia)
淢y tips are to manage time well, when we have to work and study. Because both of them are targets. Alhamdulillah, my company fully supports to me. When I am going to study, my work must be done first. In the beginning of my college, I felt so hard in managing time, but in 2nd and 3rd semester I was able to manage time between work and study, so it runs well, he said.
His courses in college helped him in his work such as nursing management, conflict management and many more which could be applied in his work. He wrote an essay entitled 淗ubungan Pengetahuan dan Sikap Perawat dengan Komitmen Berorganisasi di Rumah Sakit Primasatya Husada Citra (PHC) Surabaya, advised by Dr.Hanik Endang Nihayati, S.Kep. Ns.,M.Kep who was also the best graduates of doctoral student Faculty of Nursing in 2016.
He explained in his essay that a nurse must have commitment to the organization. Through commitment, he will keep improving the service quality for patient satisfaction. 淚f a person has loyalty and commitment, she will keep increasing her performance, Toto said.
The 38-years-old man gave advice for his junior who are unemployed to keep studying hard to get the best. According to him, the GPA determines our future jobs. For example in PHC Hospital, the minimum GPA is 3.00 and graduated from B accredited program.
In the future, he would like to apply his knowledge to enhance his performance at work and dedicate himself to PHC hospital which been given him scholarship. He plans to continue his study to the higher degree. His achievement as best graduate student his gift for his birthday on 20 March. (*)
