UNAIRNEWS – Ataul Karim is theoutstanding student of Faculty of Science and Technology UNAIR. He completed his study in bachelor degree of biomedical engineering. He also often conducts research on therapy tools for human. In 28th National Student Science week (PIMNAS) in 2015 at Halu Oleo University, Kendari in a team, they created Lymfipum (Lymphedema Fisiotherapeutic Pump), a therapy tools for limfedema patient.
In PIMNAS, Karim and his team won the third place for best presentation PKM-KC. It was his best experience. 淚 still don檛 believe that I became the outstanding student, Karim said..
His success in completing his study was not without reason. The biomedical engineering graduate said that he keep motivated to be the best.
淒on檛 lose hope and tawadhu, my only one rule is never give up in doing something, Karim said.
When he almost finished his study, he had a crash accident and he had to take a rest, his graduation ceremony was postponed until 2017.
淕od had replaced all with this achievement. I have opportunity became a presenter in 1st International Conference on Physical Instrumentation and Advance Material (ICPIAM) on October 2016 which was held by Physic Department UNAIR, Karim said.
In his essay, he researched about tools of cardiac exam which need high precision and accuracy with high performance and low cost. From the research, he wrote about signal filter in digital domain. He uses computer program codes in microcontroller named Arduino.
淐urrently, the research is in performance test by adding heart signal and noise, Karim said.
