Attracting Freshmen, UNAIR UKM Holds Panca Tirta

UNAIR NEWS To attract freshmen to join them, all student activity units (UKM) in held UKM Display Panca Tirta on August 11-12, 2017 in Campus C Student Center.

This year, Panca Tirta had Road to Glory as the theme. Head of the organizing committee, Annisa Hanif said that it was the representation of all UKMs in UNAIR as the source of achievements for the university and country.

By keep trying to make achievements and activities from UKM UNAIR, through this Panca Tirta we are determined and support each other to give glory to UNAIR towards World Class University, explained Annisa.

There were 3,500 freshmen divided into ten sessions in a day. They were walking through the building, from the first floor to third floor of Student Center to get information from each UKM.

In the event, the freshmen were required to get five stamps of UKM. They were from different category of UKM, Special, Sports, Martial Arts, Religious and Arts clubs and they were asked to join one UKM for a semester.

This internship is mandated to make the students closer with UKM. So they can find their talents and make achievements, said the Head of 2017 Communication Forum (FORKOM) UKM Bisma Brata Atmaja.

In Panca Tirta, each UKM displayed their acts. For example from, Merpati Putih, they showed their skill in breaking burning bricks bare hand. UKM Religious Arts showed their skill reciting Alquran.

I visited lots of UKM. I am interested with Volleyball and Cinematography clubs. I want to make something people can enjoy later on, said one of the freshmen from Faculty of Vocational Studies.
