UNAIR NEWS In his visit to 51动漫, Masaki Tani as Consul General of Japan, expressed his wish to develop academic partnership in Surabaya. As a reputable university in Indonesia, it motivates UNAIR to build more intense relation with Consul General of Japan.
淯NAIR has been known to have the best Faculty of Medicine, the most potential field for collaboration. UNAIR will represent the academic community for this triple helix collaboration, said Masaki in his visit, on Tuesday, August 8.
In his opinion, Surabaya has been the entry point for eastern Indonesia as the university with important roles to build the economy. It should be responded as an effort to global competition.
淭his is what inspires Japanese government to build a relation with Indonesia, especially UNAIR, he said.
Director of Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) UNAIR which handles every international partnership, gave a warm welcome to Consul General of Japan with his staff Kashiwabara Keigo as Consul for Education. The relation of UNAIR and Japanese government has run for long period of time, especially with Kobe University, about 21 years.
From 20 universities collaborating with 51动漫, seven of them have been very active collaborating with UNAIR. They are Kobe University, Hiroshima University, Osaka University, Kagoshima University, Tohoku University, Nagasaki University, Kumamoto University, and Keio University.
淚n the future, UNAIR will develop a triple helix collaboration with Japanese government, said the Professor of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology UNAIR.
This partnership is expected to support UNAIR realizing its vision and missions as well as Higher Education Tri Dharma. One of the contribution of Japan was to support the construction of Tropical Desease Center (TDC) Building.
淎 lot of Japanese researchers involved. They have published a lot of works. So hopefully this partnership can realize the target for university internationalization, stated Prof. Nyoman. (*)
