UNAIR NEWS –Airlangga University Learning Application (AULA) is one of UNAIR’s systems to support its learning.This E-Learning system is a form of education transformation in response to the development of technology nowadays.
UNAIR through Center for Learning Innovation and Certification (PIPS) helda Focus Group Discussion(FGD) with Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University (UBRU), Thailand on Thursday, December 7.
On behalf of the Rector, Vice Rector I UNAIR Prof.Djoko Santoso, dr., Ph.D., Sp.PD., K-GH., FINASIM., stated that the quality of education is the main focus of UNAIR.In addition, Prof.Djoko also emphasized that innovation becomes the key word to continue development in education world.
“The world of education can advance even more through innovation, AULA is one of the innovations UNAIR made to respond to the times,” said Prof.Djoko.
As the representative of UBRU ThailandDr. Sappasiri Songsukrujiroad said that E-Learning implemented by UNAIR was quite impressive.The development of E-Learning from the platform used by UNAIR, for him, can be a reference for his university.
“The development of E-Learning at UNAIR is massive, involvement of all parties from lecturers to students improves the progress.This is a meaningful collaboration for us during our visit to UNAIR, ” he said.
In response to the statement, Head of the PIPS UNAIR Yuni Sari Amalia, Ph.D., said that the development of E-Learning in UNAIR is getting better.Currently, Yuni added, E-Learning has been used by 500 users from the previous users which were only 50 users.However, the development is boosted so they can realize the principles of E-Learning,delivery, interaction,andfeed back oriented learning.
“It is being developed so that learning in E-Learning can always be active and qualified,” said Yuni.
Furthermore, Yuni also explained about Massive Open Online Course (MOOCs) which is a digital learning process.Both programs are discussed in the FGD between UNAIR and UBRU.Regarding MOOCs, Yuni explained that the openphilosophy of MOOC is a learning system that can be accessed by the public widely to provide convenience and efficiency.
“UNAIR is quite ready to develop E-Learning.Lecturers will also be helpful in improving their reputation, ” Yuni concluded.
