UNAIR NEWS – With the cohesiveness, passion and teamwork between members, the Indonesian Student Sports Supervisory Board (BAPOMI) of East Java will take part in the National Student Sports Week (POMNAS) XV-2017, in Makassar, South Sulawesi.POMNAS this year will be held on 14 – 21 October 2017.
In the meeting of BAPOMI East Java in campus University of Malang (UM), led directly chairman BAPOMI East Java Prof.Dr.Djoko Santoso, dr., Ph.D., Sp.PD., K-GH., FINASIM, Wednesday, September 27 accompanied by Contingent Commander of POMNAS BAPOMI East Java, Edy Mintarto, East Java took part in the 14 sports contested in South Sulawesi.
They are athletics, swimming, basketball, volleyball, badminton, chess, futsal, karate, kempo, pencak silat, petanque, swimming, sepak takraw, tarung derajat and tennis courts.East Java did not follow two exhibition matches in diving and gateball.
In the meeting, attended by representatives of universities and trainers in the 14 sports, all agreed to immediately implement the TC(training center).The athletes who will represent the contingent of BAPOMI East Java came from various universities in East Java, who have qualified from Pomda and Selekda.

Moreover, from the original agreement, there is no insurance coverage for athletes due to the limited fund, but considering some high risk sports, the Chairman of BAPOMI East Java will do everything possible until the deadline before competing in the arena of POMNAS to seek endeavors for athlete safety.
