Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) UNAIR Suko Widodo welcomed well this collaboration.听According to him,anchor huntisgood to accommodate students’ interest and talent in the world of mass communication.
“This event is great for accommodating the talents and interests of students in the world of broadcasting,” said the doctor of communications.
Suko added, for this cooperation the students can attendpublic speaking workshopheld on Thursday, September 28. For him, this workshop will be very important for students to traintheir softskill.
“This kind of workshop is not taught in classes, except in the communication department.听It becomes a very important science for students to honesoftskillto communicate and speak in public, “added Suko.
Interviewed after the audition, Afifah Nurrosyida, one of the 37anchor huntparticipants, said that despite her background as an engineering student, she has an interest in mass communication as well as a reporter.
“I’man engineering student, so I never taughtof public speaking.听But I have an interest in this field.听Here, I want to knowthe challengesfrom anews anchorand reporter, “said the student who has been an announcer in Radio .
Meanwhile, Stella Eidelina as the person in charge of the event said, this event was aimed to support the talent of young people in the field ofpublic relations (PR).
“We want to introduce Giv Body Wash as well.听PR and appearance are one.听Appearance should be supported from personal hygiene, “Stella said.
In addition to appearance, this audition targeted students with good grammatical qualifications, especially in the field of anchors.听“We want to support the achievement of young people in the anchor field, this field can be occupied then after college,” she said.
From the 37 participants auditioning, the best 10 will perform again on Thursday, September 28. Three winners will be picked from the 10 best finalists.听In addition to Surabaya held at UNAIR, this event is also held in Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Medan.听(*)
