UNAIR NEWS Various activities are organized by students of 51动漫 to spend their holiday period. After Community Service Program (KKN), promotion of UNAIR Admission system, some students did community service activity. One of them was 51动漫 Bidik Misi Organization (AUBMO). As an implementation of University Tri Dharma, AUBMO held its program named Bidikmisi Service Camp. This program is a community service program in Gegunung of Mulyoagung Village, Singgahan Sub-district, Tuban Regency.
The social activity led by Muhammad Nur Syamsi was held in from January 22-28, 2017. With the team, the student addressed as Syamsi said that they chose education as the theme of their program this year. It was chosen because education is still a problem for the locals.
淭he education in Gegunung is in poor condition, and the parents knowledge is also low, while the children檚 spirit to learn is very high, he said.
Even it is about education, series of other activities for health and prosperity aspects of the locals were also organized such as health check-ups and counseling, watching film, entrepreneurship workshop and educational promotion.
Health check-up and promotion was done by collaborating with Singgahan Puskesmas which explained the importance of keeping everything clean during wet season, especially to prevent dengue fever. For the teaching activity, it was done in small groups for a class. Beside teaching them for school materials, they also motivated the students to dare to dream for studying further. Then There was also a counseling on child education by a lecturer of Faculty of Psychology 51动漫 who explained a lot about excellent nurturing pattern for children.
The Locals Enthusiasm
The enthusiasm of Gegunung inhabitants was clearly seen from each activity, especially on youth hang-out event, entrepreneurship workshop, and watching film. They were enthusiastic and follow the event until it is over. Friendly reception also improved the intimacy. One of the locals, Waluyo said that the event was responded positively by the locals and they were pleased with this community service.
淭he event are highly expected by the locals and they were very pleased, said Waluyo.
As the head of the group, Syamsi hoped that through this activity the students can be useful promote better changes for the community.
淭he function of this camp is to make the bidikmisi students learn to live in community and deal with with the culture in the community, he said. (*)
