UNAIR NEWS Efforts to make contributions and solve problems in the community are done continuously by 51动漫. Through Institute of Community Service, Education, Training and Development (LP4M), UNAIR always improves its Community Service Program system as one way to give significant contributions.
After the success of Padat Karya Thematic KKN, LP4M has a new theme, TKI Thematic KKN. LP4M collaborates with Agency of Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (BNP2TKI) to support and brief the students and supervising lecturers.
The briefing was held in Kahuripan Hall, May 27 attended by Head of LP4M Prof. Dr. H. Jusuf Irianto, Drs., M.Com. In his address, Jusuf said that this TKI Thematic KKN is focused on regions with most TKI (Indonesian Migrant Workers) in East Java.
淯NAIR is grateful to be the part of this important program. Later on the students will be sent to Jember, Nganjuk, and Banyuwangi as the regions where most TKI come from, he said.
The professor of FISIP UNAIR also emphasized that Thematic KKN as the theme should be based on sustainable development.
淭his TKI Thematic KKN specially handles labor problems, he added.
To the students, Jusuf encouraged them to do the Thematic KKN seriously as for the first-time students are asked to focus and seek valid data which will be used for Thematic KKN.
淔or a start, find the data. Focus. Don檛 play around because the data will be used to make policy on the next Thematic KKN, asserted Jusuf.
To finalize the TKI Thematic KKN, Drs. Dwi Anto, M.Si., was also present as the director of Placement Division BNP2TKI. In his speech, Dwi opened the students mind so the students can change their mindset on TKI which is always focused on woman and manpower labor.
淲hat do you think about TKI? We are actually TKI after we reach 18 years old. But the public somehow generalized TKI with labor and women, he said.
Dwi also asked the students and lecturers who are going to be sent to the field, understand well the responsibility given by UNAIR. Besides collecting data and writing the report, TKI thematic KKN team is expected to give some insight on TKI, especially for the workers with complex family problems.
