UNAIR NEWS– Coming from Bogor, West Java, Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs of Djuanda University and team visited on Thursday, April 5. The visit was made to gain knowledge on the system of Student Affairs applied in UNAIR.
Dr.Rita Rahmawati, M.Si as Vice Rector I of Djuanda University said that she was impressed with the system of Achievement Credit System (SKP) applied in UNAIR.In addition to Semester Credit System (SKS), as a prerequisite factor for graduation, UNAIR students must achieve certain points of their SKP.The system is aimed at ensuring that UNAIR students have goodsoftskillbefore being graduated from college.
“We want to adopt SKP system.Students are not only required to understandhardskillbut also own and master thesoftskill.Good thing, it is structured, so it becomes an assessment. The most interesting, if the value does not reach 100, then cannot pass and undergo graduation. That’s very unusual, “he said.
Rita continued that they visited UNAIR because of its rapid development of student activities. After having discussion with student affairs staff, she revealed that she will make UNAIR as reference for student activity system.
In addition to SKP, the activity to be adopted is the selection of outstanding students (mawapres) in UNAIR.The election process of mawapres from internal level of campus will advance to the national level.
“University of Djuanda needs more improvement, especially in the development of UKM.There isn檛 a system of development yet.For example, some achievement activities such as pilmapres (outstanding student selection) is still impromptu. In UNAIR it has been systemized. At UNAIR, next year’s pilmapres is the result of this year’s election. That’s a great preparation, “she added.
After the visit, Rita hoped that cooperation between Djuanda University and UNAIR can add Tri Darma Higher Education quality as mandate from government for campus as an educational institution.
“Hopefully we can learn and cooperate with UNAIR.And of course the quality of Tri Darma College at Djuanda University will improve, ” she explained.(*)
