UNAIR NEWS Faculty of Medicine Student Executive Board (BEM FK) , on Saturday, March 24 will hold an interesting event. The committee will unleash dozens of zombies to attack hundreds of night runners to be held by BEM FK UNAIR.
听淎goraphobia : Frightmare Run澨is about 6 kilometers long. In some spots along the way, there will be zombies attacking them. The participants will be surprised by dozens of zombies running towards them.
According to Adra of the committee handling the opening, there will be fearless participants who will fight and retain their numbers attached on their left arms. Agoraphobia听is the theme of the opening event of Dean Cup 2018 which is themed Mental Health.
“The zombies are made as realistic as possible, as in the movies. Well, although we also do not have a reliable makeup artist, but we try to make it as realistic as possible, so that participants are surprised, “said Adra.
The zombies described by Adra are indeed more like inanimate creatures, hunting down the runners. They will walk a little bit faster from 4 spots along the night run route.
“We have trained them and runners need not worry, because they are also equipped with some water balloons as ammunition to attack the zombies. When a zombie is hit by a water ball, he will freeze for a few seconds. This is what distinguishes the event from other Zombie Run, “added Adra.
Runners also should not be worried because there are water stations prepared, and also some medical teams placed at certain spots, to anticipate things undesirable.
The night running event will be opened by the Dean FK UNAIR Prof. Soetojo and representatives from UNAIR Management. Hundreds of participants were present from high school students, running communities, students, and academicians of FK UNAIR.
Opening Ceremony was started with lighting a torch for Dean Cup 2018. The core of the show is a unique race run packaged in the perspective of Agoraphobia sufferers, ie people who are afraid of the crowd. “Agoraphobia: Frightmare Run” with its tagline “Live up Your Nightmare!”.
The nigh run was 6 KM long started from Campus A UNAIR, then towards Campus B UNAIR, Grand City Mall, Town Hall of Surabaya, and finishing point back at Campus A UNAIR Jl. Prof. Dr. Moestopo.
In addition to running, Agoraphobia also offers Night Market with Rp 10 thousand for the ticket. A variety of culinary foods in the festival that will satisfy the visitors are offered with some music bands performances.
The committee also provides a photobooth as well as games stand and various games that are not less exciting. To join in the excitement Frightmare Run, visitors should pay Rp 85 thousand. The registrant will get the a race pack containing jersey, BIB, bag, and get a free pass for the Night Market.
“So, runners no longer need to buy entrance tickets to Night Market, because it includes the registration fee. For other than participants, tickets of Night Market are sold On The Spot. Agoraphobia open gate at 4 pm and close gate for Frightmare Run participants at 18.00. As for the Night Market visitors there is no close gate, “added Adra.
The event offers prizes for the first 30 winners, in the form of medals. “Calm down, there will be a grand prize for champions I, II and III. There are also prizes for the winners of photocontest and door prize, “added Yahya, the other committee. (*)
