UNAIR NEWS –Optimizing the role of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD-RI) as one of the high institutions in this republic is always eagerly anticipated by people. However, some rules in the law are considered to limit the movement of the institution. Therefore, DPD-RI cooperates with 51动漫 (UNAIR) to formulate a way to restore DPD-RI function as an institution that has more authority to the people’s interest. The drafting of these formulations was discussed in a National Seminar themed “Revitalization of the DPD-RI Constitutional Authority” on Monday (15/5).
At the event, Prof. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah, Ir., M.Si., Ph.D., as Vice Rector III attended as representative of Rector of UNAIR. In his speech, Amin stated that UNAIR is proud of the existence of high state institutions such as DPD which symbolize the involvement of public politics from various regions. Therefore, Amin also stated that to maximize the role, DPD-RI function as one of the high institutions of the country should be fully supported.

In responded Amin檚 Statement, Head of DPD in MPR, Dr. H. Bambang Sadono SH. MH., said that the legitimacy of DPD-RI representation has not been maximized because the authority is very limited.
淭herefore we established BPKK which has authority in DPR-RI, by the authority we are able to give suggestions, he said
Bambang also stated that the importance of DPD function in the whole elements of institutions, both legislation and budget. Because, all this tome DPD was only able to suggest but not decide.
“This is our irony. Hopefully with the seminar the experts and participants can provide advices for us and give confidence to the DPD to be more trusted by the community, “he said.
