UNAIR NEWS– For his dedication in the field of student affairs since the ’90s, Dr.Suko Hardjono, Drs., Apt., received a Lifetime Achievement Award on Student Affairs from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti).At UNAIR, Dr.Suko served as secretary of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department (1990-1993), Vice Dean III of Faculty of Pharmacy (1992-1998), Vice Rector III of 51动漫 (2002-2006), and UNAIR Academic Senate (2006-2007).
“There are two principles at work, consistency at certain field and great responsibility, ” he toldUNAIR Newsabout the key to achieve these achievements.
Those two principles are held by the lecturer of Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR who has received Satyalancana Karya Satya XXX (Loyalty Award for 30 years of service) from President of Republic of Indonesia in 2013.For Dr.Suko, his perseverance and tenacity have come to fruition.Together with his colleague Dr.Rudolf Woodrow Matindas from University of Indonesia (UI), Dr.Suko received the award.
“When I was able to do the task, I will finish it as well as possible,” said Dr.Suko.
Dr.Suko explained that his involvement in the field of student affairs began when he was in college when he served as Head of Student Senate of Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR in 1977. In 1993, he was asked to support student activities.In the period 1998-1999, Dr.Suko had time to serve as an acting Vice Rector at that time.
“The position was empty.At that time the Vice Rector III,Dr.Zainal Effendi passed away.And, I was appointed as the Acting Vice Rector III, ” he said.
Since then, Dr.Suko檚 performance at national level was extraordinary, from coordination meetings, nationalism dialogue, nationalism sail, to PIMNAS.In the National Science Week (PIMNAS) 2002 and UNAIR as the host,Suko is referred to as the head committee.
Dr.Suko also had contribution in the birth of Bidikmisi, the assistance of tuition fees for poor prospective students.He was involved in the birth of the program which was officially launched in 2010.
Dr.Suko also released 淢engawal Airlangga Tanpa Henti漣n 2013 which contains about his performance and experience in the field of student affairs.In fact, in 2017, he achieved professorship of Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR.
Kemristekdikti Awards were given through the General Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) aimed at improving the quality of student affairs.The awards given are expected to be able to form excellent human resources (HR) in the future through student activities.
Among the Kemenristekdikti 2017 award recipients, UNAIR got awards in two categories.Beside Life Achievement received by Dr. Suko, Career Development and Entrepreneurship Center (PPKK) won in the category of the Best Career Center with UI.(*)
