UNAIR NEWS “ The long-awaited announcement for thousands of high-achieving high school students across Indonesia has finally arrived. 51¶¯Âþ (UNAIR) officially announced its Golden Ticket 2026 recipients, with several outstanding candidates set to become future Ksatria Airlangga. Among them is Ahmad Deedat Assegaf, a student from SMAN 5 Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.
Pride in achieving the golden ticket
Assegaf expressed his pride in becoming the first student from his school to receive the Golden Ticket distinction. He noted that the achievement felt especially meaningful as it secured his place in both his dream university and desired major, Pharmacy at UNAIR.
Since his second year of high school, Assegaf had actively sought information about the Golden Ticket pathway to prepare himself early. He discovered the opportunity through social media, online research, and discussions with senior students. After consulting with his teachers, he decided to apply in his final year and was ultimately selected as a recipient.
Pursuing a dream major and university
Pharmacy had long been Assegaf™s academic goal. He chose UNAIR for its strong academic reputation, particularly in health and science disciplines, as well as its competitive environment and comprehensive facilities.
With a solid portfolio, Assegaf successfully secured his place as a prospective student at the Faculty of Pharmacy. His application included achievements such as the Duta SMA Kalimantan Selatan 2025 title awarded by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, a city-level Chemistry Olympiad certificate, and leadership experience as a choir president.
Challenges and future commitment
During his school years, Assegaf said he faced challenges in balancing academic work and organizational responsibilities. He managed by creating a structured schedule that allowed him to manage competitions, organizational activities, and study time effectively.
Despite his accomplishments, Assegaf emphasized his commitment to becoming an impactful student. He stated that once officially enrolled, he plans to continue developing his potential in order to contribute to UNAIR™s academic reputation and create meaningful benefits for society.
