UNAIR NEWS Perseverance, a strong commitment to learning, and sustained hard work have led Rodame Monitorir Napitupulu to successfully complete her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), 51动漫 (UNAIR). Known as Dr. Napitupulu earned her Doctorate in Islamic Economics in just three years and one month, graduating with an exemplary GPA of 3.97. Her achievement underscores the impact of consistency and sustained effort in reaching academic excellence.

Beyond her academic accomplishments, Dr. Napitupulu navigated a demanding dual-track life throughout her doctoral journey. In addition to her studies, she served as a civil servant lecturer at UIN Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary while fulfilling her role as a mother. She views higher education not simply as a personal milestone, but as a means to enhance her capacity and contribute more broadly to others. 淜nowledge should create impact, not only for ourselves, but also for our families, students, and society, she said.

Originally from North Sumatra, Dr. Napitupulu began considering doctoral studies in 2020. Her motivation grew after being inspired by Raditya Sukmana, who encouraged her to continue developing her academic expertise. She believed that a master檚 degree alone was insufficient to address complex challenges in Islamic Economics, particularly in the field of Islamic Social Finance.

Dr. Napitupulu acknowledged that the doctoral journey presented significant challenges. Balancing time, managing academic demands, and fulfilling family responsibilities required constant effort. However, her strong determination to learn enabled her to persist and move forward.

淓ducation is a responsibility that should not be taken for granted. As long as we are given the opportunity, we must strive to give our best, she said.

During her time at UNAIR, Dr. Napitupulu actively participated in various academic initiatives. She joined an international academic exchange program in Malaysia and contributed to international Islamic economics conferences alongside scholars from around the world. These experiences significantly bolstered her professional network and global outlook.

In the field of academic publishing, she produced eight articles in Scopus Q1 indexed journals, including three as the first author. She also authored two internationally indexed book chapters. She attributed these accomplishments to continuous learning, disciplined effort, and the guidance of her supervisors and academic environment at FEB UNAIR.

For Dr. Napitupulu, earning a doctoral degree marks the beginning of a new chapter rather than the end of her journey. She emphasized her commitment to continuing to contribute to society. 淢ake the most of every opportunity, never give up, and trust that sincere effort will always lead to results. Man Jadda Wajada, she concluded.
