UNAIR NEWS The Graduation 261 ceremony of 51动漫 (UNAIR), held at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC), MERR-C Campus, commemorated a significant academic milestone for graduates. One of the highlights was a speech delivered by student representative Anggun Zifa Anindia. The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) graduate opened her remarks by reflecting on her academic journey.
As a recipient of the Indonesia Smart Card for College (KIP-K) scholarship, she expressed deep gratitude and pride. For her, the scholarship represents more than financial assistance, it is a symbol of trust that economic limitations should not hinder one檚 aspirations.
淚 believe this scholarship is not merely financial support, but also a symbol of trust that students from underprivileged backgrounds have the right to dream and achieve those dreams, Anindia said.
Campus activism and taking on greater roles
Anindia檚 journey extended beyond academic pursuits. She was entrusted with leadership roles, serving as chair of the student executive board (BEM), both at the faculty level and at the university level at UNAIR.
Her accomplishments were initially met with skepticism, as some perceived student activists as individuals who focus solely on advocacy and graduate later than expected. However, she proved that a committed student can balance both academic responsibilities and organizational involvement.
淪ome people say student activists only focus on speaking out and tend to graduate late. Today, I want to emphasize that this is not always the case. Never be afraid to grow and take on meaningful roles, she said.
She encouraged fellow graduates to remain devoted to their parents, apply their knowledge, and uphold the reputation of their alma mater. According to her, a degree is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of service.
Becoming alumni and serving society
On the same occasion, Secretary of IKA UNAIR PC Lamongan, Dr. Aini Mas檌dha, presented the alumni identification card (KTA) as a symbol of the commencement of lifelong alumni integration. She emphasized the importance of maintaining networks, not only within Indonesia but also globally.

In her remarks, she also encouraged graduates to continue contributing to society while upholding the value of 淓xcellence with Morality.
淚 invite all of us to offer our best service and contribute to building a noble civilization that upholds human dignity, she said.
