Embassy of Finland and UNAIR discusses international collaboration

UNAIR NEWS expands its international collaboration with the Embassy of Finland, specifically in education programs, exchange, and research. The collaboration meeting was conducted in the Rote Hall, ASEEC Tower, Campus B, UNAIR, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

The meeting was attended by the Head of Internationalization of the (AGE) Dina Septiani B Comm M Comm Ph.D., the Director of (DPKKA) Prof. Dr. Elly Munadziroh, and Silja Kanerva the representative of the .

From UNAIR, representatives from the Faculty of Nursing, the , and the also attended the meeting. While from Finland, the guests were from , , , , , and (HAMK).

Dina believed that collaboration in the field of education and innovation development would be mutually beneficial and initiate further partnerships. UNAIR has the resources and capabilities to collaborate with various universities across Europe, including Finland.

淐urrently, we focus on building partnerships with multiple countries to enhance UNAIR檚 presence as part of a world-class university, she said.

She also offers other potential programs for the students, particularly in the fields of Nursing, Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline, and Science and Technology. The fields of health, industrial technology, and science present potential opportunities that fit the study focus in Finland.

UNAIR is highly interested in developing entrepreneurial programs, including internships, working opportunities, and lectures about the working culture at UNAIR. Opportunities for international internships at companies in Finland can be realized through direct discussions with Finnish companies or through the branches of Finnish companies in Indonesia.

Kanerva said that the program is a follow-up action to the previous meeting with UNAIR in September. UNAIR has also established cooperation with Business Finland to promote university programs and business opportunities in Finland.

Which will be focused on accepting programs like student exchange, staff exchange, research, publication, and community development. The partnership will discuss the program activities in the universities in Finland more specifically.

淔or UNAIR, the potential for wide-ranging cooperation is open, which could result in bilateral collaborations between the countries of Indonesia and Finland, she said.
