UNAIR NEWS Internship students from the Faculty of Psychology at 51动漫 (), in collaboration with the Psychology Division of the Human Resources Bureau at East Java Regional Police (Polda Jawa Timur), have developed a digital system for early mental health detection issues using the Job Stress Scale (JSS) and Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20). Conducted as part of the internship program, this initiative aims to increase awareness and promote preventive mental health measures, particularly in the workplace.
The system is designed to simplify the process of identifying individuals psychological conditions through an integrated digital platform. Users complete two main assessments: the Job Stress Scale (JSS), which measures work-related stress, and the Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20), which screens for general psychological symptoms. Completing both assessments provides a more comprehensive understanding of users mental health status.
In addition to measurement, the system provides result interpretation and follow-up recommendations to help users better understand their psychological condition. This digital innovation functions not only as an assessment tool but also as an educational resource and a practical, accessible method for early detection.
The student developers explained, 淭his digital system is designed to make initial mental health screening more accessible, allowing individuals to recognize their psychological condition early and take appropriate steps before issues escalate.
The program is expected to provide an alternative solution to the growing challenges of mental health issues, particularly work-related stress. It also highlights students active role in integrating psychological knowledge with technological innovation to create a broader impact on society.
This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by emphasizing early detection and preventive approaches to mental health. Through this digital system, it is hoped that the public will become more aware of their mental health, contributing to overall well-being, both physically and psychologically.
