UNAIR alumnus Ferry Indriasmoko serves as Deputy Director of MHJ Indonesia

UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 () continues to produce impactful alumni in various fields. One of them is Ferry Indriasmoko, an alumnus of Faculty of Vocational Studies who currently serves as Deputy Director of Private and Business Development Manager for MRI at PT Mulya Husada Jaya (MHJ) Indonesia.

Indriasmoko stated that his ambition to not remain in his comfort zone has become his motivation in achieving his dreams. This desire has led him to take roles in various fields of work.淚 always step out of my comfort zone to try new things. Sometimes they are not in line with my academic background, but they actually make us grow faster, he explained.

Career journey

After graduating from university, Indriasmoko immediately worked as a radiographer at Premier Surabaya Hospital. In between his work, he also worked as a Sales Executive at Bank Niaga. After four years, Indriasmoko began to focus on operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment at Husada Utama Hospital.淎t that time, the development of MRI was still very limited, so I created a blog titled Saatnya Belajar MRI. I wrote on the blog with the aim of sharing the knowledge that I have about MRI and its development, he explained.

Then, Indriasmoko shifted fields from being a radiographer to becoming a production manager in a medical device industry company. After that, he pursued the field of healthcare digital or information technology that studies hospital software. He transitioned from the field of radiography to the IT industry.淚 joined GE Healthcare, so I moved from a local company to a multinational company. I built my career from the bottom, starting as a product specialist to becoming a country sales manager in healthcare digital, he added.

Before finally serving at MHJ Indonesia, Indriasmoko had worked in the business field as a Business Manager for Enterprise Diagnostic Informatics (EDI) under Asia-Pacific leadership at Philips. He connected with several hospital CEOs, Digital Transformation Officers (DTO), and the Indonesian Ministry of Health. 淚 was offered by MHJ to become a vice director to handle business in the private sector. There, I also develop MRI business, he stated.

Keys to success

Indriasmoko emphasized that a growth mindset, discipline, dreams, affirmation, and responsibility are important provisions before entering the workforce. He also stressed the importance of stepping out of the comfort zone to grow. 淎 growth mindset must be present so that we do not stay in one place. These factors support us in being ready to face the working world, he stressed.

In addition, building connections and problem-solving skills also need to be trained from an early stage. According to him, many fresh graduates are less prepared to work due to the lack of these basic abilities. 淏uild connections and be responsible, all of them will be useful. If you only focus on academics, you will lack understanding of how things work in practice because of limited experience, he concluded.
