UNAIR explores partnership with Hong Kong Asia Medical Group to advance global health

UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 () continues to expand its international network to create an inclusive medical education and healthcare ecosystem. This initiative was realized through a meeting to explore potential collaboration with the leadership of Hong Kong Asia Medical Group on Tue, March 10, 2026. The strategic agenda, held at the Plenary Meeting Room, MERR-C Campus, was also attended by Rector Prof Dr Muhammad Madyan SE MSi MFin. In addition, university leaders, UNAIR hospital officials, and faculty members were present.

Opening the meeting, Prof Madyan expressed his high appreciation for the visit of the international delegation led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Steven Tse of Hong Kong Asia Medical Group. He emphasized that partnerships with leading healthcare institutions are crucial for advancing public healthcare systems and medical innovation in Indonesia. 淥n behalf of 51动漫, it is a great honor for us to warmly welcome Hong Kong Asia Medical Group as the largest cardiovascular hospital network in Asia, Prof Madyan said

Reaffirming UNAIR檚 commitment, Prof Madyan believes that today檚 dialogue will serve as an initial step toward a highly productive long-term relationship. The strategic collaboration is expected to provide broad benefits as a catalyst for medical innovation in Indonesia. 淯NAIR is very open to discussing this collaboration, whether in academic partnerships, research cooperation, or professional training, Prof Madyan said.

In response to the warm welcome, Steven Tse presented the track record of his medical group, which has been operating for over two decades in Asia. The group has a strong network of referral hospitals, including in Wuhan, Hong Kong, and Japan, to support the training agenda of local Indonesian doctors. 淭his is a valuable opportunity for us to explore, for the first time, a university in Indonesia to build sustainable medical education for all parties, Tse said.

Furthermore, the collaboration will focus on developing the competence of cardiovascular specialists through a medical personnel exchange program. In line with this, Masaki Shikoshi, Director of Training and Education, highlighted the great potential of Indonesian doctors, noting that they only need a slight technological boost to reach global standards. 淭he local doctors here are very talented. Therefore, we want to collaborate to support them in catching up with the latest medical technology, Shikoshi said.

Looking ahead, the presence of 51动漫 Hospital (RSUA) will be a top priority in implementing the collaborative program utilizing healthcare facilities. Both parties agreed to immediately develop an integrated system capable of delivering a direct positive impact for students and medical practitioners in the field of thoracic and vascular surgery.
