One notable example is Dr. Nugroho Dwi Priyohadi, M.Sc., M.H., Psychologist, a doctoral alumnus of the Faculty of Psychology at UNAIR. Since early 2025, he has served as Director of the Pelindo Purnakarya Pension Fund. In this senior management role, he plays a key part in strategic decision-making within the operations of Indonesia檚 state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
Transforming the maritime industry through Organizational Psychology
Dr. Priyohadi檚 professional journey highlights his extensive experience in the maritime sector. Before assuming his current position, he served as Director of Membership, Human Resources, and General Affairs at DP4 from 2021 to 2024. He also previously held operational management responsibilities at PT Pelindo III. His background in industrial and organizational psychology has provided a strong foundation for managing human resources within the complex ecosystem of port operations.

My analyses of port access governance and shipping logistics efficiency have frequently appeared in national media opinion columns. I also pay close attention to the issue of human error to help ensure maritime safety and support the broader transformation of Indonesia檚 maritime sector, said Dr. Priyohadi.

Despite his demanding professional responsibilities, Dr. Priyohadi remains active in academic writing. He has authored several books that have become valuable references for both academics and maritime practitioners.
