UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 (UNAIR) has once again demonstrated its strength in technology through a recent student achievement. The Case Release team placed third in the Creative Innovator category at a national hackathon organized by Refactory. The event was held in collaboration with the Applied Undergraduate Association of Informatics Engineering at the Faculty of Vocational Studies (FV), and took place at Dharmawangsa-B Campus UNAIR on Friday, April 10, 2026.

The Case Release team includes Hensa Hendy Anugrah Ebenezer Situngkir (FTMM), Reizo Nararya Alinandito (FTMM), Afnan Nadhir (FTMM), and Sakha Imtinan (FST). The team introduced a digital innovation called Effix.ai: Your AI Code Optimizer.

Alinandito explained that both novice and experienced developers increasingly depend on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to build applications. However, AI-generated scripts are often inefficient or overly complex, which can hinder performance and increase the risk of bugs.

淲e designed Effix.ai not only to review code, but to optimize its internal structure. This allows the code to become more concise while producing exactly the same output, Alinandito said.

Nadhir highlighted the innovation檚 key advantage. 淚ts main strength lies in its ability not only to evaluate or score code, but also to directly optimize it, a feature that remains uncommon in existing programming tools, Nadhir said.

Despite the achievement, Situngkir noted that the team encountered several obstacles. 淥ne major challenge was the technical integration between front-end and back-end systems. The competition required the use of several software tools that we had not previously mastered. However, through clear task distribution and a strong commitment to learning, we were able to overcome these challenges, Situngkir said.

The Case Release team also underscored the importance of adapting to technological advancements. 淪tay updated with emerging technologies and tools, as learning opportunities are now widely accessible through the internet. Most importantly, ensure the team shares a common goal through effective communication, Imtinan said.
