UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 (UNAIR), through the Institute for Journal Development, Scientific Publications, and Intellectual Property Rights(LPJPHKI), successfully held the Festival Review 2026 series. The event took place over four days, March 11 to 12 and March 16 to 17, 2026, and was conducted online via Zoom. On the final day, the session specifically discussed systematic review strategies to support publications at UNAIR.
Systematic review stages
The event was attended by UNAIR Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Community Development Prof Muhammad Miftahussurur dr., M.Kes, Sp.PD-KGEH, Ph.D., FINASIM. He emphasized that systematic reviews offer a practical solution for researchers to publish their work at no cost by utilizing secondary data available in international databases.

淲e write using free resources. We do not need to collect data directly. We simply use data that are already available online. We only need to analyze and calculate them, Prof Miftahussurur said.
Furthermore, Prof Miftahussurur emphasized that the most important aspect of systematic review research is answering a research question, not merely summarizing studies under strict protocols. There are several stages in systematic review, including the use of the PICO framework (Population, Intervention, Comparator, Outcome), preparation of protocol reporting using the PRISMA method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalysis), and conducting critical appraisal to prevent bias.
Program sustainability
Director of LPJPHKI Prof Ferry Efendi SKep Ns, MSc, PhD reported that 22 submissions were collected during the first three days of the Festival Review. He further expressed hope that the final day of the event would lead to an increase in the number of submissions. In addition, he expected stronger cross-disciplinary publication collaboration at UNAIR. 淟adies and gentlemen, we also aim to encourage cross-disciplinary scientific collaboration. Once again, on behalf of LPJPHKI, we would like to thank you for your participation over the past four days, Prof Efendi said.
In closing, Prof Efendi stated that the program also supported and strengthened academic culture, particularly in publication and its tangible impact. He reiterated that the Festival Review is expected to increase research publications among participants.淪o, we look forward to your submissions. We hope that all participants can submit their work and collaborate together, Prof Efendi said.
