UNAIR NEWS In order to extend knowledge on Endodontic Treatment (treatment to dental root and its tissues), Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) 51动漫 (UNAIR) held a visiting lecture event presented by Endodontic expert from London, Dr. Tony Druttman, on Tuesday, September 13.
The lecture was held in Faculty Assembly room FG and attended by dozens of students and teaching staffs of FKG UNAIR. It was opened by Dean of FKG UNAIR Dr. R. Darmawan Setijanto, drg., M.Kes. During the occasion, Darmawan elaborated that the visiting lecture was useful to accelerate the development of faculty who has been established since 1928.
淚t will certainly useful to accelerate the faculty檚 development, he said.
During the lecture, Tony, the expert on Endodontics explained that infected or inflamed pulp tissue should be extracted through endodontic treatment. The damage in pulp tissue can be detected through gum swelling, pain and sensitivity in the teeth.
淭here are some influencing factors, such as infection which damages dental structure and therefore causes damage teeth, said the practitioner who has experiences for 30 years. 淔urthermore, the food remains can also make holes in teeth, he said.
Tony hoped that even though the damage can be treated with implants, it is still better for patients to consult first to the trusted expert as there are some factors to choose to apply dental implants or endodontic treatment, such as patients financial, clinical or emotive.
淏efore choosing (between dental implants or endodontic treatment), the patients should consult and think it over to get the best result, he said. (*)
