UNAIR NEWS Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) 51动漫 (UNAIR) has graduated another batch of pharmacists who have completed their professional studies. There were 214 students graduated from Pharmacy program and they took their oath as pharmacists on Wednesday, September 14. The 102nd inauguration of pharmacists was witnessed by officials and guests invited in Airlangga Convention Center.
The inauguration was attended by Dean of Pharmacy, Dr. Umi Athiyah, MS., Apt., representative of Central Management of Indonesian Pharmacists Association (PPIAI) Drs. Noeffendri Roestam, Apt, the representative of National Pharmacy Committee, Dr. Faiq Bahfen, SH, Vice Rector IV UNAIR Junaidi Khotib, S.Si, M.Kes, Ph.D, UNAIR Rector term 2006-2010 and 2010-2015 Prof. Dr. Fasich, Apt, and all the students.
Representing the pharmacists just inaugurated, Faris Setiawan Bastomi, S.Farm, Apt, in his address said that the learning and reinforcement of knowledge at college is a phase to be a professional pharmacist. Faris then reminded how important responsibility and professionalism for the pharmacists.
Beside professionalism, another challenge for the new pharmacists is the distribution of fake drugs. Noeffendri as the representative of PP IAI said that it was caused by pharmacists who forget its true role. 淭he fake vaccines and medicines were from the neglected role of pharmacists. It is our obligation to keep our integrity, said Noeffendri.
Similar with Noeffendri, Junaidi said that the pharmacists role should be optimalized. Junaidi reminded them to hold firm their oath taken.
淎lways remember the first sentence on your oath which says 業 will dedicate my life for the humanity especially on health. The fake vaccines and medicine are the big problems for the society. They cause our vulnerability as a nation, said the alumnus of Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) UNAIR.
The ceremony was ended with prayers and congratulating sessions to the pharmacists. The event then followed with free session. (*)
