UNAIR NEWS– After winning the provincial language ambassador, Alfyan Wahyu Ramadhan had the opportunity to participate in the same event at national level.The Faculty of Law (FH) student of succeeded in becoming the best VI in the 2018 National Language Ambassador election on Monday-Thursday, August 13-18 in Jakarta.
Alfyan made this achievement among other participants from 30 provinces.In Jakarta, Alfyan claimed to have gained many new experiences, from visiting the Presidential Palace, following the Independence Anniversary ceremony at the Ministry of Education and Culture, having discussion with the Minister, Prof.Dr.Muhajir Effendy, M.A.P, until attending the plenary session of MPR-DPR.
“I feel very fortunate to be able to meet great people from 30 other provinces in Indonesia.I really feel diversity.I can’t use Javanese anymore except with colleagues from DIY and Central Java and some colleagues who happened to be Javanese or had lived in Java.I truly believe that Indonesian language is a unifying language of nation that must be maintained, ” he explained.
“I remember Indonesia when we all used traditional clothing from our respective provinces.It’s great that I know them, “added the fifth semester student.
“Arrive in Jakarta on 12 August.We still had enough time to prepare ourselves for presentation, file checking, to talent training that my partner and I have never done.There was a lot of drama and anxiety, but there was more excitement and valuable experience,” he said.
Krida (program) language that Alfyan and his partner have done was “Crescent” by promoting literacy in children through reading, speaking and writing.This is considered as an effort to foster a culture of literacy in street children who are members of the Save Street Child (SSC) Sidoarjo community.
“There are two main activities, writing about certain topics and the ability to be a speaker.The topics given to them were quite simple.For example, regarding their ideals, hobbies, and daily activities, ” he concluded.(*)
