FH UNAIR Students Attend International Symposium in Hong Kong

UNAIR NEWS Reza Septa Yuwono, a bachelor program student of Faculty of Law 51动漫 (UNAIR) should be proud of himself as he was one of many students who help UNAIR gaining reputation at international level. He was involved in international symposium in Hong Kong University. It was held on September 8-10 and organized by Indonesian Student Association (PPI) of Asia and Oceania.

淭he symposium is an initiative of PPI Asia Oceania to gather Indonesian students from any countries in Asia Pacific countries. The objective was to have discussion on maritime topic, and hopefully it could provide enlightenment to Indonesian maritime in the future, said Reza who has also been in an exchange student program in Sias International University, Chine, in 2014-2015.

The event titled 淚ndonesian Maritime Defense and Empowerment towards Global Maritime Axis hosted by PPI China invited Indonesian and International speakers, experts of Indonesian maritime, tourism and environment.

For three days in Hong Kong, Reza followed the series of events from panel discussions, paper presentation, Gala Dinner, networking session to study excursion. The forum was attended by hundreds of participants from Asia Oceania PPI, such as PPI Japan, PPI China, PPI South Korea, PPI Taiwan, PPI Thailand, PPI the Philippines, PPI Malaysia, PPI Singapore, PPI New Zealand, PPI Australia, PPI India, PPI Bangladesh and the newest PPI Sri Lanka.

The student known as Reza was proud that he could participate in that international scale forum as beside gaining reputation for UNAIR, he could also gain experience and expand his international networking.

淭hrough the forum, I met the head and deputy of PPI from all Asia Oceania countries, which automatically expanding friendship and connections. I also know KBRI Beijing stakeholders also BJRI Hong Kong and Macau, he said.

Reza added that even though the participants mostly Indonesian, all of them were scholarships awardees of master program. Most of them were doctorate candidate in leading universities in Asia and Oceania.

With his participation in the symposium, Reza encouraged other UNAIR students to participate at international scale activities.

淚 suggest all Ksatria Airlangga who are interested to participate in similar events (International Conference and Symposium) to prepare their paper perfectly, improve communication and public speaking, so that they can gain reputation for UNAIR and Indonesia at international level, said Reza who is Vice President and Secretary of PPI China Zhengzhou Branch.
