UNAIR NEWS – It has been an honor for the Faculty of Law 51动漫 to host a national conference by the Association of Indonesian Comparative Law Lecturers (ADPHI).The first national conference was attended by at least 80 lecturers from all over Indonesia, including lecturers from Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Padjajaran, and Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret.
Being held in the Hall of Pancasila FH UNAIR, Thursday, July (20/7), the event was opened with the speech of the Head of ADPHI Prof.Topo Santoso SH, MH, Ph.D.In his speech, Topo revealed that this new national conference was the first ever held. However, ADPHI often holds meetings to discuss the comparative law curriculum in which the meetings are held at Padjadjaran University.Not only that, ADPHI also often held meetings to form journals, and held seminars with professors.
“This meeting becomes an occasion to meet and strengthen ties between members and presenters who have not become members can also join.This conference is a place for discussion to exchange insights on comparative law, ” he said.
Dean FH UNAIR Prof.Dr.Abd.Shomad, SH in agreement with Prof. Topo檚 statements said in his speech in the opening a national conference that the faculty is proud as FH UNAIR can host the inaugural event held by the ADPHI.
“I am honored this first national conference was held at UNAIR.This national conference is necessary because globalization forces us to adapt from various aspects.Changes will have an impact on various studies including education.Which includes curriculum changes in higher education.So it needed adjustments, “said the lecturer of Islamic law.
Prof.Dr.Bagir Manan, SH, MCL., as the keynote speech said that this material is not something foreign. “Democracy is required to be patient in facing differences.In the science of democracy, applied principles should not be hidden.That is what underlies the creativity, “he said.
The main session was moderated by the Head of ADPHI Prof.Topo Santoso SH, MH, Ph.D with two speakers, Prof.Henning Glaser, Director of the German Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance, explained about the concept of human rights, their position from the basic structure of constitution as presented as “Comparative Constitusional Law: Locus and Impact of Human Rights “.
The second speaker, Iman Prihandono, SH, LL.M., Ph.D., explained the Comparison of certification / reporting mechanisms in business and human rights relations.
“There are 4 HRDD mechanisms in Indonesia. First, Certification of Indonesia sustainable palm oil.Second, Certification of timber legality verification system.Third, certification clean and clear.Fourth, the certification of human rights of fisheries, “said the Head of the Department of International Law.
Next, the event was continued with a presentation of papers from participants who were divided into several chambers.
