UNAIR NEWS –To repeat the participation in last year , 51动漫 takes part again in the 2018 National Mathematics and Science Olympiad (ONMIPA) held by the Directorate of Student Affairs, Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, Kemristekdikti, in Semarang, 15-17 May 2017.
This time UNAIR sent five students of two FK students: Ahmad maulana Ifan Abas and Nando Reza Pratama, and three students from FST namely Ari Sofi Yanti, Beni Hamdani, and Hasan Mubarok. The five students passed the first selection at UNAIR level , and then they passed the second selection at the regional level on March 22-23.
East Java is the territory of 11 of the 17 regions which is determined by Directorate of Student Affairs Ditjen Belmawa, Kemenristekdikti. From 17 regions in Indonesia, there were 256 students who passed to ONMIPA at national level. They will compete in four session are Mathematics, Physics, chemistry, and biology. So, each session there were 64 students.
On the departure ceremony of ONMIPA delegation on Wednesday (10/5), Director of Student Affairs, Dr M. Hadi Shubhan, SH, MH., CN., hoped for those five students can repeat the last year achievement, from seven student of UNAIR, two of them got the gold medals.
淭his competition is very important as our medium to actualize ourselves, and get the achievement as means because there will be many achievement charged to UNAIR by government. We try and pray that it will work well, Hadi Shubhan said
According to student, by acquiring achievement through Olympiad, both in national and international level, it will support their achievement for the future as outstanding student. UNAIR delegation will go to Semarang on Sunday (14/5) by train.
