UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 always expands its network of partnership and strengthens ties with other universities abroad. One of the potential countries to establish collaboration with UNAIR is Pakistan. It can be seen from the Ambassador of Pakistan to Indonesia, Muhammad Aqil Nadeem.
The Pakistan Ambassador to Indonesia was welcomed by UNAIR Rector Prof. Nasih with other officials and delegates of faculties. In the meeting held in Plenary Assembly room, on Wednesday, May 10, both institutions discussed potential academic collaboration between UNAIR and universities of UNAIR.
According to Nadeem, UNAIR is one of the biggest universities with excellent international partnerships. He also appreciated the ability of UNAIR students who ask questions on politics, international relations and education.
淚 was really surprised that UNAIR is such a beautiful university in a beautiful city with excellent knowledge of international partnerships. The students were also very positive as they have so many questions and they have good knowledge on international relations, said Nadeem.
In the meeting, the faculty delegates explained some important points such as on research and publications, and the student and staff exchange. Vice Rector III Faculty of Pharmacy Dewi Melani Heriyadi, and Vice Dean III Faculty of Public Health Ira Nurmala said that they want to establish research and publication of scientific articles in the journals published by universities in Pakistan.
In this regard, Nadeem said that he will communicate the matter to the universities in his country. 淲e will discuss it and look for the best partners for collaboration between universities in Pakistan and Indonesia, said Nadeem.
From the meeting, academicians of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences have prospects to establish partnership with International Islamic University and Bahria Islamic University. It is in forms of staff exchange and joint research.
Vice Dean III FISIP Prof. Myrtati Dyah Artaria said that the faculty will offer the opportunity to FISIP lecturers who study about gender sociology. 淲e have been contacted by the university in Islamabad regarding the matter. We just need to offer this opportunity to the lecturers, said Myrta.
Before having a meeting with UNAIR officials, the Ambassador to Indonesia delivered a general lecture in FISIP on 淧akistan and Indonesia Relations: Away Forward. In his lecture, Nadeem said that Indonesia and Pakistan has had a long history of diplomatic relations.
淪oekarno is very popular there. If you go to Pakistan, ask anyone, they know about Indonesia or Soekarno because we have a good relation, said Ambassador of Pakistan.
In presence of the students, Nadeem expected them to study well and continue this democratic politics in the future.
淥ne thing I learn from Indonesia is the transition of authoritarian to democracy. Indonesia now is progressive, liberal and full of tolerance. It is important for the students to employ the science and technology for the ongoing democratic politics, he said.
