UNAIR NEWS –Faculty of Medicine Student Executive Board (BEM) of has a different way to strengthen and build up the teamwork of freshmen.As in previous years, the community service became the main activity of BEM FK UNAIR to educate freshmen into concerned people about health in the community.
This time, an activity titled Social Action for the Country (AKSON) FK UNAIR 2017, become a big agenda handled by freshmen of FK UNAIR in 2017. There were at least 300 freshmen of FK UNAIR involved in the event held on Sunday, October 8.
On the occasion that will be a history for FK UNAIR freshmen, Iqbal Mubarok as head of the committee said, the activities under the management of the Ministry of Community Service BEM FK UNAIR became one of the containers to realize a healthy society.
“It檚 as the saying goes that in a strong body there is a healthy soul,” he explained.
The freshman familiarly called Iqbal also said that the event taking place in Taman Bungkul was opened with brain exercise. According to Iqbal it is the right way to avoid dementia.In addition, wearing a purple T-shirt, the AKSON FK UNAIR 2017 team also performs health tests such as blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, gout, and other health tests.
“The test were done by our seniors who have experience,” he explained.
At the end of Iqbal said, the success of the event was not a top priority.The more important reason for him and his fellow-class was to build teamwork and togetherness.All preparations for social action such as fund and the needs of the community were fully addressed by Iqbal and his colleagues.
“The main purpose of this activity was not the success of the program, but the teamwork of one class.In addition, the teamwork and acquaintances become the main thing, “he concluded.(*)
