Three lecturers of Department of Administration and Health Policy (AKK) of Faculty of Public Health (FKM) 51动漫 (UNAIR) initiated the establishment of the Integrated TPA.They are Dr. Ernawaty, drg., M.Kes., Ratna Dwi Wulandari, SKM., M.Kes., and Nuzulul Kusuma Putri, SKM., M.Kes.
From the result of a study on theeconomic value ofparenting, all three of them believe that TPA is the most efficient form of parenting for working young parents. In addition to teaching children independence, the cost of care is reasonable for young parents. It inspired them to submit a proposal of community service establishment of TPA to Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristedikti).
Ernawaty as the head of the team also explained that her team has conducted a market analysis on the opportunity to establish a child care in Campus C. Apparently, many academicians in Campus C are young parents who need the service.
In addition, a lot of students of master檚 and doctoral programs sometimes have to bring their children at UNAIR.Many of the demand for this child care is not proportional to the number of child care available around Campus C.
To realize the establishment of TPA in Campus C, the three studied from TPA KAMPUS B UNAIR which has been managed by Faculty of Psychology. It comes to fruition whenTPA Campus C will be launched next Thursday, January 25.
“I think, developing childcare needs a multidisciplinary knowledge that is also related to the health of children,” Erna said.
In order to realize the ideal TPA, in addition to discussions with TPA KAMPUS B UNAIR, Erna also discussed with the Center for Early Childhood Education Development and Community Education (BP PAUD and Dikmas) East Java.
“I got the information on the TPA’s Technical Directives from them (BP PAUD and Dikmas, ed),” she added.
Erna said, Campus C child care integrated the multidisciplinary sciences needed in the development of children. This child care is new and is in development process. She and her team have been discussing with the Vice Dean III (or representatives) from several faculties to discuss the principles of integration and contribution of each faculty. The discussion was attended by representatives from Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Dental Medicine, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Dharma Wanita Persatuan and Head of TPA Campus B.
The TPA is for children aged 3 months to seven years.Since opening for registration last week, quite a lot of parents wanted to entrust the child to this Integrated TPA.In fact, there is also a mother who is pregnant already planned to entrust her child.
Meanwhile, TPA Campus C has also been offered cooperation from other centers to develop ideal method of care.Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) has offered to train students in TPA Campus C. UNUSA intended to make TPA Integrated Campus C as an apprenticeship place for undergraduate degree students of Early Childhood Education Program (PAUD) .
Campus C’s TPA personnel, in addition to experienced caregivers, have been supported by the presence of a graduate of Master of Psychology at 51动漫 and a bachelor of Public Health. The curriculum has been formulated. Now, Erna and the team are in the process of developing job descriptions of each caregiver to conform with the specified standards.
