UNAIR NEWS– Three students of Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) 51动漫 (UNAIR) won second place in pharmaceutical event, CPSE KOFEIN (Clinical Pharmacy Skill Event Indonesian Pharmacy Competition) 2018, Saturday, January 20.The three students are Rebhika Lusiana, Yusvisca Nadhira Kanza, and Laili Irfanah.All of them are currently in their final semester.
In the CPSE KOFEIN competition held by FF UNAIR, they managed to complete several rounds, preliminary round by answering some questions, the quarter-final for counseling and presentation of health promotion media, semifinal through intelligence quiz, and final round about IPE (interprofessional education).All of the rounds were themedmetabolic syndrome.
“In the counseling round, we act as pharmacists presenting the drugs to patients.Wellhere, thesettingis counseling with the prescription, “said Rebhika.
“Meanwhile, for the media health promotion, we presented the poster that we have created,” she added.
Related to the theme of the competition, Rebhika explained thatmetabolic syndromeis a collection of metabolic disorders consisting of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and dyslipidemia that can trigger the occurrence of coronary heart disease.The most dangerous, coronary heart disease, stroke, and the like can lead to death.
Rebhika said, in Indonesia the incidence rate (prevalence) ofmetabolic syndromeis large and is expected to rise.This is due to many factors.The most important is the lifestyle, lacking of exercise and physical activity, and consumption of food that are not nutritious likejunkfood.
“Rightnowtechnology has made it so easy to orderonlinefood.So the public move less.Also people like watching TV while snacking with high calories snack.Then cigarettes are also one of the factors, ” she added.
In the promotion of health, Rebhika and the team carried out movement that prevents and overcomesmetabolic syndrome, CERMAT and CERDAS.Here’s the posters that Rebhika and the team created.
Overall, there are 53 teams from all over Indonesia participated in this event.They are universities that have majors and faculty of pharmacy.While Rebhika and the team won second place, the first place was a team from Sebelas Maret University (UNS), and third place was from Padjadjaran University.(*)
