UNAIR NEWS Muhammad Oky Andrianto succeeded in winning four golds in PON XIX 2016. The student of Faculty of Law 51动漫 (UNAIR) was in the first place for 10km point to point, 15km elimination, 10km team time trial, and 5km team relay.
He dedicated 4 golds for East Java because of his great efforts and hardwork. Oky admitted that he has been training for two years. He had done a lot of preparation and followed some series of training. One of them was a trial competition in Japan last June to hone his mental, physical and techniques.
Asked about his motivation, FH UNAIR student has always wanted to be in PON since childhood. 淪ince I was a child I have wanted to compete in PON. First participation in 2008, my senior Regi Yumasuti won four golds. In 2012, I got a gold and a silver. Alhamdulillah, in 2016 I got four golds, said Oky.
淔ROM THE START, I WAS MOTIVATED FOR GOLD, BUT I DIDN橳 EXPECT TOO MUCH. I KEPT ON TRYING AND LEFT IT TO GOD TO DECIDE. ALHAMDULILLAH I MADE IT.
Now, Oky is preparing for International event, 淭he 17th Asian Roller Skating Championship in China this November. He is currently training in Regional Training Camp (PUSLATDA) East Java.
Oky hoped that his participation in the competition can dedicate golds for Indonesia. He also hoped that his rank can be better than before which was the fourth.
Asked about obstacles, Oky said that he had problems with his study. He got left behind when he was preparing for PON XIX. 淭he Asian Champion competition is at the same time with midterm exams. So hopefully the permit will not be difficult and I can keep going, said Oky.
