UNAIR NEWS– Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK) 51动漫 held another Airlangga Maritime Conference 2017. It is a national seminar andtalk showwhich is conducted every year.Held at Graha BIK-IPTEKDOK Faculty of Medicine 51动漫 on Saturday, November 18 from 08.00 to 14.30, Airlangga Maritime Conference this year entitled “Development of Maritime and Marine Sector-Based on Entrepreneurship to Create Independent and Self-sustainable Indonesian Sea.”
The seminar was not only intended for fisheries students, but also general.There are seven speakers presented in the seminar.They are divided into two sessions.
In the first session, Ir.Muhammad Najib, CEO of PT Kelola Mina Laut in Gresik, and Awalrush Andira, S.Pi, MMA were the speakers.Next, Dr.Woro Hastuti Setyorini, Ir., M.Si., became the moderator of the session.
Najib said, the fishery sector provides a very good opportunity and good prospects.According to him, we should be proud to be fisheries students.Moreover, Indonesia is a maritime country that 2/3 of its territory is ocean.
The business Najib focused on has penetrated abroad.It proves that fishery is a very prospective business field.Furthermore, Awalrush presented material on sustainable fisheries development policy.
Next session, moderated by Pulung Siswantara, S.KM, M.Kes., the speakers were Royce, Kevin and Dwianto.All of them are Young Fisheries Entrepreneurs.In that session, they explained the potential of Indonesian marine.They also shared about a business called “Nagrova Aqua Kultura” that they want to establish. It is a vannameshrimp businessin Bangkalan area in December.
In addition, Revindia Carina, Putri Bahari Lingkungan Hidup 2015, also spoke in the second session.She is a student of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) .On that occasion, she explained her experience related to the world of maritime, including giving motivation related to the marine potential of Indonesia.(*)
