UNAIR NEWS “Like years before, behind the smooth and readiness of 51¶¯Âþ contingent in the competition of National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) event, there is Garuda Sakti team.As one of BEM UNAIR Semi-Autonomous Bodies (BSO), Garuda Sakti has a big contribution to the success of the UNAIR contingent in winning the PIMNAS title.
Interviewed during the preparation for 31st PIMNAS UNY on Tuesday, August 28, Niko R. Syahputra as Deputy of BSO Garuda Sakti said that his team has a duty to assist PIMNAS team.In addition to helping in various exercises, Niko also said that they were also tasked to strengthen the mentality of the team that will compete.
“Sometimes participants (PIMNAS team, ed) oftenfeel down, so we are tasked to encourage them,” he explained.
The mentality of the whole team, he added, is oftendown during the exercises.For this reason, each team is accompanied by a team of Garuda Sakti.For him, the company will boost the spirit of PIMNAS team competing.
“We assign several teams to assist each team,” he added.
Although they are already divided into teams, Niko also said that his team also often faced some obstacles.Different characters in each member, for example, is one of the challenges for Niko and the team to provide direction so that the team can be solid.
“Because of their diverse character, it is a challenge for us to make the team even more solid,” he explained.“And it really needs a long process,” he added.
In the end, the challenge is to motivate all Garuda Sakti teams to intensify mentoring.The dream of winning 31st PIMNAS UNY became the strength for Garuda Sakti team to be more mature in preparing success for PIMNAS team during presentation.
“Surely, when they perform later, PIMNAS UNAIR team can win the competition and win gold,” he concluded.
