UNAIR NEWS Saturday, 18 November 2017, 51动漫 lost one of its best scholars known nationally as the pioneer of education, not only in UNAIR but also Indonesia.Prof.Dr.Marsetio Donosepoetro, dr., SpPK (K).,Rector of UNAIR in 1980-1984 and Ambassador of Indonesia to UNESCO in Paris in 1985-1990.
He died at his residence at Jl.Dharmawangsa 27 Surabaya, at the age of 87 years.The deceased left his wife, Dalisar Mohamad Sarin, three sons and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Because of his services, before being buried in Keputih Surabaya cemetery, there was a memorial service in 51动漫 Management Office Building, Sunday, November 19.
Hundreds of mourners crowded the first floor of Management Office Building UNAIR.Besides the officials of UNAIR such as Chairman of Academic Senate Prof.Joewono Soesoso, Vice Rector II Dr.Moh Madyan, Vice Rector III Prof. Dr. Moh Amin Alamsyah, Vice Rector IV Dr.Junaidi Khotib, there were also Dean of FK Prof. Prof.Soetojo and faculty officials.
There were also former Education Minister.Dr.Moh.Nuh, DEA., Rector of UNESA Prof.Dr.Warsono, MS., Former Rector of UNAIR Prof.Soedarso Djojonegoro, Prof.Bambang Rahino Setokusumo, and Prof.Soedarto, former Chairman of UNAIR Senate Prof.Moh Amin, several former UNAIR Vice Rectors such as Prof.Soetjipto, Dr.Edy Yuwono Slamet, SE., Dr.Suko Hardjono, and dozens of Professors of UNAIR and hundreds of UNAIR academicians and families of the deceased.
Vice Rector III of UNAIR Prof.Moh Amin Alamsyah, in his speech stated that the deceased was the best academic of UNAIR.He did not only give examples on how to build this educational institution we love, he also established the educational foundation both at UNAIR and in Indonesia.We can follow every activity of the deceased in how to build a personal character as a human being.
“Rasulullah Muhammad SAW said, if the son of Adam dies then three deeds are left as a reward.First, sodakoh jariyah.Second, useful knowledge, and third soleh and sholehah children.Hopefully these three deeds also accompany the deceased, so that later make it easier for him to get the love from Allah SWT inthe judgement day, “said Prof.M. Amin Alamsyah.
The first son of the deceased, Kemal Imam Santoso Marsetio, MBA, currently works as Director of Finance and Inventory of BPJS Health, in front of hundreds of mourners claimed to feel the warmth of kinship from the audience.InshaAllah, he said, it was all because of the deceased.Therefore, the family can let the deceased go to Allah SWT.
“Perhaps when my father was alive and made unfulfilled promises, or debts that have not been paid off, please contact the family for closure, so that the journey of the deceased to God becomes smooth,” said Kemal, alumnus of FE UNAIR.
The second son of the deceased, Erwin Ramawan Marsetio (55) explained the health of the deceased worsened in the last two months.After several times in and out of the hospital, the deceased felt his body weak but he did not want to be taken to the hospital, until he finally died in the residence where he lived and worked for UNAIR.
“My father was discipline, pious, always put forward morality, he did not talk much but give examples of actions and behavior.He also did not ask too much, so my father was not the type of person who wanted to be noticed, but rather put others first, “said Erwin, staff of Orthopedic Section Dr. RSUD.Soetomo / FK-UA.
Prof.Dr.Budi Santoso, Vice Dean II FK UNAIR read the deceased history.The man born in Jakarta March 30, 1930 graduated FK UNAIR in 1961. But in 1956, he started working as a monthly employee in the Physical Sciences Division FK UNAIR.He became a civil servant in 1960. From 1969 to 1970, he was Deputy Director of RSUD Dr.Soetomo.
From 1974 to 1980, he became Vice Rector I UNAIR.In 1974, he pioneered Hemodialysis Unit RSUD Dr.Soetomo.In 1980, he became Professor of Clinical Pathology FK UNAIR and then was appointed UNAIR Rector (1980-1984), Indonesian Ambassador to UNESCO in Paris (1985-1990), and in 1992-1997 became Chairman of Commission IX (Education) DPR-RI.Prof.Marsetio was also a Professor Emeritus of Clinical Pathology Science FK UNAIR.Rest in Peace, Prof.Marsetio Donosepoetro.(*)
